Australia’s health sector is undergoing a digital transformation, with patients expecting modern, seamless experiences similar to other services. However, many pharmacies are still weighed down by manual processes and outdated technology. Scrypt is building foundational cryptographic infrastructure to power privacy-first, secure digital applications. At its core, Scrypt enables a decentralized identity and data-sharing framework across industries like healthcare, legal, and digital services.
Their mobile solution allows users to store, share, and manage identity data with end-to-end encryption—powered by verifiable credentials and digital wallets. As the platform moved from stealth to public-facing, they needed a flexible and trustworthy design system that could scale rapidly across web, mobile, and developer environments.
I was brought in as the product designer to establish a modular design foundation, turning technical, protocol-driven systems into intuitive and accessible user experiences.

Scrypt was in its earliest stages—without a defined visual identity, design system, or scalable frontend. Their needs were evolving daily, from marketing pages to dashboards and developer tools.

Established a flexible design system from scratch in Figma, rooted in atomic design principles.
Designed UI patterns that could adapt from landing pages to dashboards to future developer tools.
Collaborated directly with engineers to align components and streamline handoff.
Focused on simplicity, hierarchy, and modularity to help abstract technical concepts become approachable and usable.
Built interactive prototypes for early testing and internal feedback, allowing us to iterate fast.
